Accumulation and efficiency of nutrient use in crop systems in second crop under no-tillage

Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate phytomass production, nutrient cycling, and efficiency use by single intercropped crop systems, in the second crop, under no-tillage. experiment carried out during 2014 2015 Cerrado biome state Mato Grosso, Brazil, a randomized complete block design, with nine treatments four replicates. In 2014, systems were evaluated at 63, 93, 124, 157 days after sowing; and, 2015, they flowering senescence. concentrations nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium determined. Urochloa ruziziensis, Cajanus cajan, Pennisetum glaucum showed largest accumulations nutrients. phytomass, highest efficiency. no-tillage U. either cultivation or corn sunflower, increased phytomass. most efficient for all nutrients, are intercropping sunflower Crotalaria spectabilis.
